EHD price ?

has anyone had success on getting Dish to lower the price from 39.99 to like 19.99 or maybe even free. would like to add a EHD but 40 bucks seems a little crazy just to flip a software switch. if anyone had success at getting a better deal did you call, use web chat, and what did you say to help get a lower price. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

well I paid the 39.99 for got $50 worth of credits to cancel it out.
