EHD Not Working

My EHD I’ve had for a number of years is not showing up in the DVR section. I have 2 EHDs and the other one is working fine. I tried swapping out the USB cable, resetting the Hopper 3 receiver, unplugging the EHD, and unplugging the receiver. No luck with any of those. Any ideas on additional things to try or is it probably toast?

That is an excellent question. You could try hooking it up to a LInux computer and see if it mounts the ext3 partitions. If it does, and the file system checks out, try it again on the Hopper.

That said, I had 2 EHDs from my 722/612 days. Both check out fine on a LInux computer, but one simply does not show up on the H3 and I don't know why.
