Looks like Nimiq-5 has completed the switchover of transponders to 8PSK.
The hidden channels I found yesterday have encrypted.
Things are pretty much the same as before the switch except that there are more (encrypted) channels per transponder now.

so for most of us we wont even be able to lock 72.7 because its all 8PSK now (turbo)?

Yeah, turbo. When I saw the posts about things going turbo 8psk, I decided to get the Genpix thing. So far, it has worked pretty well. Only thing I've had trouble with so far have been one 8PSK transponder that I finally got by changing the freq a bit, and I also had trouble locking the OETA DCII channel for some reason. I was getting a very strong signal on my 4200, but the Genpix basically couldn't lock it. One time I got it to lock, but with so many errors I couldn't do anything with it. I guess it didn't matter, because that channel was FP, and Genpix only does ZK, but I still should have been able to lock it. Maybe the Genpix has trouble with the 4880 SR? The Genpix worked fine on the Nebraska PBS channels (all but 2 were ZK).

Anyway, so far the Genpix thing has only saved me one channel via the turbo 8psk, but it's fun being able to see what's there, even if I can't watch it. I'm sure more things will pop up FTA eventually.

BJ> One day I am going to get used to referring to sats by name rather than position. It's definately a US thing, I guess i should know them by now LOL

ICE> thanks, saved me going through the Lyngsat page again
