This has nothing to do with Charlie Ergen. This is about the MLB owners. This is an important issue to a lot us. If you want to be able to keep MLB Extra Innings than just write. If you don't then don't bother.

I am thinking of paying my early termination fee and jumping to D*. It seems you get a lot more bang for your buck from them. The only thing I like more on E* is the VOOM, that's it. Now D* has the MLB as well as the NFL. Hell they Sedanta too. Why should I stay with D*? Between $$$ and Sports, D* seems to have more.

While I certainly whole-heartedly agree with your plight, I doubt posting this man's PHONE number will endear him to your cause. Email is one thing, but tossing out the phone number might be a bit much. Just my two cents.

I dont think that MLB will really even care if anyone subs or not. They are getting their money from the turd bird regardless of whether 10 people or 10 million people sign up for the extra innings package.

I got virtually the same answer. He said to call him and he'll talk to me about MLB.TV and how to set it up so I can watch it on my television.

Maybe I should tell him I have an HDTV and I want my games in high def.

If you are referring to Rupert Murdoch's controlling interest in DirecTV then you are a little late.

Murdoch SOLD his controlling interest or actually traded it for shares of another company.

Murdoch decided he didn't want controlling interest in (and I quote) "A Turd Bird", yes that is what Murdoch called DirecTV. I'm guessing he was a little Taken a back by how little profit there was in DirecTV's Billion dollar operation. I don't blame him when DirecTV only breaks even on NFL Sunday Ticket even with the high Subscriber revenue from its sale. Now add that DirecTV paid another HUGE upfront exclusive deal to get MLB Extra Innings.

MLB got a HUGE upfront payment from DirecTV, but remember that MLB also gets the Majority of the Subscriber revenue from Extra Innings as well as that upfront Exclusive payment.

I did not even mention MLB TV in my email. Just suggested that perhaps they should extend the current agreement for one more season and then take the time to take a proper look at the pros and cons of going exclusive with one provider.

no doubt the mighty $$$$ DirecTV dollar sign will be the final factor though.

OF course charlie might sell some more super-station packages with out EI

I think you are totally wrong on that one. This is a man who has passed out his phone number freely. It is literally all over the internet. Apparently, he wants feedback from the fans.

Good luck with that. The major sports leagues could not care less about fans or anyone else. Only about how much $$ they can get out of your pocket. Only when you guys STOP paying for this crap, will they EVER get the message. It will come back to bite them when parents no longer can afford to take them, or can't follow a team anymore. Kids not 'brought up' in it, will never care about it. Hence, the rise of the 'low budget' extreme sports these days. The leagues will care about you when those are the ones people are interested in.

I also sent a letter to MLB. Doubt it will do much good, but there is a pile of different ways to handle MLB baseball on TV. If I want to watch the Red Sox (I live in Wyoming) I can sign up for Extra Innings with Direct TV. Why not let me sign up and pay for NESN, the local New England station, which is available on DISH, and not block out the games. The signal is already there, just let me pay for it. I don't need the full Extra Innings package. Most baseball fans want to watch "their" team not other teams (at least not much). Lots of ways to deal with this much better.
