E*9(121)/Alaska/Dish size

Hi,

Does anyone know what 121 outputs? Trying to figure out the dish size for AK...

I'm not sure if 121 broadcasts to alaska. I thought it only was broadcast over the mainland 48 states

IF the beam gets there you would need one helluva dish

121 is KU band, which is lower powered than DBS slots. If you need a 1.2m (or larger) dish in Alaska for 119, you would need probably a 10 footer AT LEAST for 121

Actually at my location I need 70cm for 119, roughly 150cm for 110 so I'm guessing 121 would need 180 or so... argh...

You never know.... 121 is a very powerful bird compared to some of the other KU birds. You might try asking in the FTA area if there are any Alaska users in the area.

It is very likely that E* 9 has Alaska and Hawai'i beams. 30" or 1 meter may be sufficient.

Is there anywhere to get a map of where they cover? I've seen them for some of the other sats. but not for E 9
