DVR to VCR problems

I have been transferring football games from my directv dvr to my vcr without any problems. Now however, when I try do to do the same, the video transfers but it goes from black and white to color with lines across the screen. Did I accendentally hit a button on my remote? Do I need to use the red reset button?

It could be the VCR. Have you tried recording other sources to the VCR?

Not yet. It even does it when I record something directly to my vcr. Thanks.

I'm confused. You haven't tried another source, yet something records directly to the VCR???? What was that?
