DVR receivers without DVR service

I have a VIP 722 and 611... can I get rid of DVR service and use these as standard HD receivers without dvr?

Only way to get DVR service without the fee is paying the one time fee to add an external HD to a 211 and make it a DVR.

So if I remove DVR service I will not get any programming? I dont use DVR, so I assume I will need new receivers then... that stinks.

Only way to remove dvr service is to remove dvr receivers from your account and replace with non-dvr receivers. So yeah, that stinks.
