Sometimes when we use DVR1 (HR21) to watch stuff recorded on DVR2 (HR23), DVR1 locks up (completely non-responsive, even to front-panel controls) after awhile. When it happens, the only thing we can do is hit the red reset button. We switch the AVR to DVR2 so we can continue to watch the program, but it is getting really irritating. I seldom watch stuff recorded on DVR1, so I can't say whether it's just DVR1 itself or if it is related to MRV. The MRV is via ethernet and not utilizing their DECA modules. I don't see how it could be related to MRV, but...
