F fromyard New Member Original poster Feb 14, 2009 1 0 jamaica Feb 14, 2009 #1 I am in Jamaica I was using a regular receiver worked fine.I upgraded to a DVR, I am doing the Initial set up for the DVR. though I do have signal strength on most transponders the set up check keeps saying that no signal has been detected. I am told that the DVR receiver needs to detect signal from transponder 31 (Satellite 101) or it won't come on. With my 6 ft. dish I am not getting signal from transponder 31. I was also told that the receiver can be made to bypass this specific signal check. Need help, desperate. tony bache@anngel.com
