Hi!

I've seen a little bit about E*'s DVR Advantage Pack but I'm confused about it. The prices on their website aren't consistent ($39 and $49) and I don't understand why they don't show DVR Advantage with the AT250, which is what I would like to sub to (plus HD, of course). Does the DVR Advantage have different requirements/term committments? Is there some way to get the DVR Advantage w/ AT250? Can anyone explain a little bit more about the differences in the standard packages vs DVRA?

Thanks a bunch!!! :)

I've seen a little bit about E*'s DVR Advantage Pack but I'm confused about it. The main difference in the DVR Advantage and the Standard Package is that the DVR Advantage includes the following: Your standard Package, Locals, and the cost of 1 DVR Fee. The Standard Package doesn't include the locals or DVR Fee in the cost.

As for the DVR Advantage with AT250, you must understand how Dish Network treats the AT250. Dish does NOT consider the AT250 as a programming package. Rather, they consider it a premium add-on. With that, if you want AT250 and DVR Advantage, you would have DVR Advantage AT200 plus the AT 250 Add-on.

The way it works in the real world is as follows (this is how it plays out for our family):
DVR Advantage 200 = $49.99
HBO = $14.99
DVR Fee (for 2nd DVR) = $5.98

If we were to get AT250 it would look as follows:
DVR Advantage 200 =$49.99
HBO & AT250 = $20.00
DVR Fee (for 2nd DVR) = $5.98

Difference between AT200 and AT250 (with HBO also) would be $5.01. I am not sure how much the AT250 Add-on is if you only have the AT250 Add-on and NO OTHER PREMIUMS (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, or Starz).

Hope that helps,
Geoff

Thanks for the info. It's finally making sense. So basically, they give a simple (or, as simple as E* gets ;) ) "package deal" if someone wants a DVR included. I like that. It's interesting that they don't treat the AT250 as a programming pack itself; I didn't realize that.

Well, your posts helped me to clarify a lot on what I'll be ordering and simplified it as well. I was wishing that E* offered an option like D* where they included the locals and DVR fee and the AT250 programming and you guys showed me that they do! Awesome! And many thanks. :D

I was told that the premiums, HBO,etc., were $10 each with DVR Advantage from the 1st one. I knew that 2 were $20 but asked and was told that if I only ordered one, including HBO, it would be just $10 additional. It did say that on the Dish site with the info on DVR Advantage. Haven't looked since 2/1 though.
