I recently upgraded from a DVR 510 and two old receivers using a DISH 500 with a legacy quad LNB to a DVR 625 using a DISH 1000 with a DPP twin LNB. I basically wanted the ability to record one show and watch another one on the same TV and I also liked the feature of sending the TV2 signal to other TVs in the house. I used to love the image quality of the 510 with the legacy LNB, but since the new dish and LNB have been installed I think the image has been negatively affected. Images seem to be pixelated and slightly diffused (not crisp). I have hooked my 510 to the new dish and the image on it seems worse too. Now, the only culprit could be the DPP twin LNB causing the bad image. I have compared the images on a 32" CRT and a 61" CRT projection and they both look bad. Also, the signal on the 110 and 119 satellites is >100. The 129 signal is bad and I am having the DISH guy come out tomorrow morning to adjust it. Does anyone have any suggestions about what could be causing the bad image? Most people would not notice it, but being a Field Service Engineer dealing with image quality on medical equipment daily, it is really starting to bother me. Thanks for any help.
