Update to old message

I have tried everything that everryone suggested, nothing worked.

I disconnected my sons receiver, just a single receiver and hooked up the dvr in his room and it worked, his receiver where the dvr was didnt work.

So I replaced the coax cable under the house running to the DVR, still didnt work.

On my point dish screen there is a signal strength of 0 and no satelittes are found under system info.

Should I try to do something different? I think I have even reset everything back to system default

Any suggestion?? I will try whatever you post

it has Satellite: X
Transponder: 4

If an other receiver works in place while his does not, I would think that says the receiver is bad.

Do you happen to know what model receiver the single receiver is?
And do you know what kind of dish you have setup? is there any switches?
Behind either reciever is there any kind of "power inserter" or "dish pro adapter".
I know i'm kinda shooting in the dark here but maybe there is a small detail we are missing about why its not working.
