DVD recorder recommendations?

I'm interested to know what dvd recorders everyone recommends. From what I've read, some of you favor panasonic. I'm looking at the panasonic DMR-E55-S and DMR-E85-HS. I like the lower price of the E-55 and it would probably meet most of my needs, but I think the 120GB hard drive of the E-85 would come in handy. I plan to use it to copy recording from my 522. Any comments by users of these two recorders regarding quality, ease of use, features, satisfaction, etc., would be appreciated. Or if anyone has other recommendations. Thanks
