I am installing a Pioneer XM receiver in my custom 1957 Chevy truck project. I also have a late model Cadillac antenna with through the roof wires, it has the dual lead setup with the mustard FAKRA male plug satellite signal and the green FAKRA male plug terrestrial signal.
The Pioneer antenna wire has a pink FAKRA female connector.
The Pioneer antenna is a magnetic mount, the Cadillac antenna is paintable and will be a cleaner installation if I can make it work.
I believe that I only need to connect the mustard colored satellite wire from the Cadillac antenna to the Pioneer unit, but I am not positive. I have read that the newer XM receivers receive both the satellite signal and terrestrial signal through the satellite lead.
Also, I have not been able to find any kind of adapter for this application. I think I need a adapter with a female mustard FAKRA connector at one end and a female pink FAKRA connector at the other end. Is this something that can be ordered or made?
I would really appreciate any help. Oh, I've tried the dual lead adapter below, but it had male connectors on the input side rather than female connectors.
