I couldn't find my exact setup in the forum history, so here's my first technical post.
My E* setup is a legacy Dish500 (110/119) plus a legacy dish at 61.5, all three dual LNBs feeding a SW64 with power inserter. Two taps of the switch come out to matched SD receivers (now obsolete JVC HM-DSR100 DVHS decks, purchased the first month they came out). It wasn't hard to install it all myself.
I just replaced the SD television with an HD monitor.
I have two outputs of the SW64 still open, and E* told me that I could use them to hook up a 942 receiver in addition to the legacy boxes.
(1) Is this correct? Will a 942 work out of the box with this setup?
(2) If so, what do I lose because I don't have a SuperDish or a Dish1000? Are there channels that I wouldn't be able to see?
Thanks in advance!

Not knowing exactically where you live, however you should receive VOOM depending on programming commitments) off 61.5, and the HD pack off 110/119

Now, im assuming the 942 should work fine, however the checkswitch will probably be as slow as molasses (well, 1 outta 40 some odd checks, vs 1 outta 3 w/ DP technology)

Edit, the superdish is mainly to bring in locals and internationals, whereas the Dish 1000 is for locals + voom, however VOOM is on 61.5 as well !!
