DTV installed today, no HDMI to DVI converter

Yo, had voom and got DTV installed today and their is not HDMI to DVI converter in the H10 box. I was thinking it came with one. Anyone know where I can get one? Think Walmart would have them?

Also something weird, the installers didn't know anything. One of the guys said he's been working their for a year and has only installed 2 HD receivers besides mine. I had to tell him about HDTV (1080i,DVI cables etc), he said I should use COAX or S-Video because it got a better picture than the Blue,Green and Red cables(component).... LOL!! The other guy took down my OTA antenna that came with voom and said I don't need it. I tried to tell him that I do in my area because DTV doesn't supply the HD locals in my market. He said if the channel is broadcasting a HD show it will come in HD over a analog station..... Idiot! So now my antenna is down and I got no digital locals. Do installers think you know nothing or something and it's always their word over yours!?!?! Anyways... if someone can tell me where I can get a HDMI to DVI converter that would be very helpful, thanx.

You can get a DVI to HDMI cable at Best Buy, but it is a Monster Cable and it's expensive. However--BB will let you bring it back for a full refund with no questions asked. There are plenty of places to get the same thing online, like at www.bettercables.com .

The H10 does not have the cable. The HR10-250 does. Just go get the cable at BB and replace it with a less expensive one when you have time.

and nor fot nothing i would complain that the installer tookdown "your" antenna without your permission and demand it returned exactly as it was vbefore the installer messed with it

I second that!!! Totally unacceptable.
Call D* and complain. Have this fixed and tell them some programming credit for your inconvenience is in order.

There have been several posts about the video dropouts from the HDMI output on the H10. The HDMI dropouts were so bad on my H10, I gave up and started using the component outputs! You might want to buy some good component cables and forget about using HDMI until a fix is available.

lol, The installer gave me his number so I can get him to come put it back whenever.

Um... sh*t. I just spent $125 dallors on some HDMI to DVI cables.
