Thanks for posting this. I need to do this sometime soon. Any idea if people ever try this with some of the commercial receivers? I imagine each model would be different depending on design.

I know I need to change my battery and I was originally thinking of going with the battery holder method because I liked the idea of using a two battery holder, and being able to change the battery the next time without having to solder, however I honestly think,(but don't hope) that the new battery will still be alive when I'm not, and now that you mention it, I have seen those battery holders break on several things that I own, so I will do the best job I can of following the tutorial. Ninety-nine out of a hundred times the battery holder would probably be fine, but I'm a #100 type. Thanks for posting the well illustrated tutorial.
