DSR-920 power supply replacement

I have a GI DSR-920 as we were watching the satellite the receiver just lost all power, I believe the power supply went, I have not changed the way it is hooked up or added anything to the power supply strip there were no power surges that happened either I also have a surge protector hooked up to it. I did replace the battery in it about 1 1/2 year ago so will that help save the mother board I do have access to a few 920's but I dont know if they work yet the batteries have not been changed in them can I take the power supply out of one of those and use it and how would I go about doing it Please help!
