DSR - 4400x FTA ?

Hello I have a G.I. DSR- 4400x.

I want to set it to get one channel.
Cornerstone FTA TV. (It use to get Family net)
All goes well till I try to set the symbol rate.
CRN wants 4578-3/4
308.... but the DSR only shows 4.88 3/4 NOT 4.578 3/4 it just jumps over that.....

So I guess this unit is no good for FTA???? !!!!!!!!

That is the only rate shown in the 4 range

I also have a DSR- 4402x Motorola I wonder if it suffers the same problem? (It use to get Gospel music network)

I also have 2 coship CDVB2000G that work good... but guess what No captions... I just want captions to pass through and it does not do it...

So I replaced with pansat 3500sd for captions... but the pansat locks up on a frozen picture... the coship did not... ever that I know of and its on the same dish amc4 cornerstone.. the pansat passes captions so thats good but it locks up.... and I have a high end LNB on it...

Thats why I wanted to try the 4400

I wonder if the Traxis 2800 units pass captions?

If it allows only 2 number after the decimal, enter it as 4.58 and see what happens

It looks like the DSR-4400x is Digicipher 2 only. The DSR-4402x should work as it looks to do both Digicipher 2 and DVB.

you're right...it is DCII only (found a spec sheet on google)

Thanks photoman76 I will try the DSR-4402x.

Iceberg the problem is that when you set the SR on the 4400 it does not allow to set each number, it advances up and down in the range of fixed numbers. I guess its Digicipher 2 only....
