Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("The Tudors") stars in this provocative new drama as one of the world's most iconic characters.

It's the late 19th century, and the mysterious Dracula has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He's especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night - useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: he hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan... until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

From the producers of the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning hit "Downton Abbey" comes "Dracula," a twisted, sophisticated and sexy take on Bram Stoker's classic novel, proving that some stories never die

The trailer didn't hook me at all. Gonna have to wait for early reviews.

I liked Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the Tudors. But, what is up with the 3 names? I thought that was reserved for serial killers and assassins? The Tudors had a lot more sex than network TV can allow... I hope he can adapt.

Next Episode: Season 1, Episode 1

"Pilot": Alan Grayson becomes drawn to a woman who looks like his dead former love, while her fiance, Harker, worries about his ability to give her the life she deserves.

What a pompous mess! Cheesy is the perfect word for it. Meyers is awful...totally miscast. All the acting was lame. At least, it is so bad it's scarey.

I guess I should be happy I fell asleep before it came on. I was actually looking forward to it. I really should get in the 21st century and get a DVR to record stuff for the later hours though. I just have a regular HD Receiver and every once in while think I should upgrade (off topic though - sorry)

Probably not since it is only a 10 episode mini-series and all in the can.

Your probably right but look at Hostages was supposed to be a limited like 15 episodes and they don't think it will last that long!! :)

I watched it and fell asleep quickly in the show . The stupidest thing I 've seen in years. Combining Dracula with groups trying to create wireless electricity and working against the petroleum industry in 1890s England? Come on how did this ever get the green light for tv? Oh yeah, it was on NBC.

I started watching it last night and never finished it. I chalked it up to a late day at work and cleaning up after a day of bathroom remodel. After not a single positive review here, maybe that isnt the case.

I got around to watching it on Sunday afternoon. Wasn't too bad. Much better than the twilight wannabee vampire shows on CW.
A bit of mystery to it, and has me curious how the story will play out.

The second episode was much better than the pilot episode. I might give it some time. The one thing I notice about this show is that it is elaborately done. The sets back drops characters all look like something from a movie. But the second episode shows much more background development of the characters.
