Hello everyone , new here. I have gotten much useful information from this site in the past (thanks for that) but finally had a need to register and post.

Recently purchased a dish 1000.2 and still am not sure if I "need" the dpp44 switch. I have not purchased one as of yet because some posts I see say no and others say yes. Don't want to spend the money if I can avoid it. I am only using one receiver...............Thanks in advance.

:welcome to SatelliteGuys!

Even if you have nothing to post about, registration is well worth it as you are then able to jump to the first unread post in a thread (no longer have to try to remember where you left off), and you also see fewer ads.

The 1000.2 has an integrated DishPro Plus switch with outputs for 3 receivers. You would only need to add a DPP44 if you have more than that.

awesome! that is what I was hoping to hear.........not sure if there is a thanks button somewhere or not but ......THANKS for the fast answer and I hope that I can be of service in the future.
