dpp44 switch question

i just got a dpp44 switch but i did not get a power inserter. I am a little upset about that.

i tried it any way and it works and my 508 and 311 sees the switch corectly did not try my 811 or 510.

what features will i not be able to use without the power inserter?

The power inserter makes sure there's enough juice to run 4 LNBFs. If you've only got 2, and the cables are short (less loss), it might work fine - YMMV.
