DPP44 Daisy Chain PSU ?

Is it necessary to use a 2nd PSU when daisy-chaining a 2nd DPP44 switch? Or, will the one PSU provide power for both switches?

as temper mental as they sometimes are, I would run both.

I don't think power is supplied via the passthrough ports, so you would almost certainly need to use both power inserters. I believe not even the signal comes out of the passthrough ports when the upstream DPP44 is unpowered.

Yes, you would need a power inserter on port one of each DPP44 switch.

Actually if you have a receiver on port one of the second switch, the switch can & will be powered by the receiver. The First switch MUST have the power inserter because it needs to power both the switch and all the lnb's connected.

You have obviously never seen a junction room with trunked switches. Each switch in independently powered. You do want your DPP44 to work as a switch right?
