DPP switch

DOes anyone know if a DPP34 switch will work with a Hopper setup , or do you have to have a DPP44 switch ?

I don't know of any DPP34 switch only a DP34 one. There is a DPP33 switch which will work with the H/J as well as the DPP44.

It's too bad that those switches have such similar 'names'. Even I as an extremely bright person has confused or misused them too often.
But that doesn't bother me as much as the misuse of lose and loose.

Perhaps the confusion is with the DPP33 (Dish Pro Plus 33) which does exist. Agree, such similar names, but Echostar probably is NOT concerned about clarity for DYI folks.
