I hope ur somehow being deep or rhetorical with a question like that up in here ......... but yes, the DP 301 has a smartcard. It is it's evil twin sister the DP 311 that is with a built-in smartcard. They are exactly identical otherwise. But the smart card slot on the 311 appears empty(because it's built in ).

301, 501, 508, 510, 721, all legacy receivers with 4 digit numbers (example 2700, 3900, etc) have a smart card. 111, 311, 322, 522, 942, all new current receivers have built in smart card chips inside with a card slot for a future smart card upgrade to override the chip inside in case the chip inside is compromised.
