My New Leased 622 Has Arrived. I Like To Plug It In And Try To Activate. My Current Switch Is A Dp-21. Feeding Two 811's. Will I Need A Different Switch?
if you want to do it your self you going to ha to run another line from dish to receiver and running another line out to TV 2. but if wait until tech he can put DPP twin LNB. and use DPP separator and diplexers. or you can by that stuff on line and do it your self. and if you replase both 811 2nd TV wont be HDTV
Thanks Volkadov I Have Two Lines Up There From A Previous Dual Tuner Install. My Second Tv Is Not Hd (frown). Also The 811 Wont Receive The New Hd Channels. There Is A Separator That Came With The Receiver I Assumed This Was To Be Used From A Single Line From Sat
to use separator you need different LNB type but if you had dual tuner before then you can just use both lines to your 622 from DP 21s and use diplexers as back feed
Now Thinkin It Would Cool To Have All The Offerings Of The 622 Early. But Will Dish Activate A Leased Unit Under These Conditions? I Have Many Threads With Mixed Results. I Really Dont Want To Get All Set Up Only To Have Them Say We Cant Activivate
here is how it works. since you don't have dish 1000 they will insist that you need one. most of them don't know that 129 mirrored to 61.5 sat. so they will argue with you on that. if you have schedule date set up they wont be able to activate you unless they close your work order. if they close it and you still want some one to come back they will set up a Service call or Trouble call, and that will push your apartment back
I also have the current setup on one 811 and also have a 301 .
I just received my 622 and plan on swapping it out for the 811. I have 110 ,119, and 61.5 .How exactly would I be able to run another line off of the dp-21 ?
Also is it normal for the the switch to be installed on the roof of a two story house directly next to the dish ?
