So HDTV has penetrated into Australia more than the U.S. (about a third of households vs about a fourth in the U.S.). I'm surprised.

I can't help but wonder why Toshiba is slow to produce/provide players. Cutting their losses? Abandoned the Australian market to concentrate on the U.S. market? Can't get blue laser diodes?
