down grading program question

I only have 4 or so months left on my contact, will probably have to cancel then, but if I go ahead and change from the HD Absolute down to the family package, will I still get my locals in HD. I watch very little tv now. And when I compare CNN on 9436 with the same on 200 I see very little difference. I would like to get Fox news and the Hallmark channels and this would be the only way to do so with no extra expense.

You see little difference on CNN, because they are both HD. Same channel different numbers.
