I recently had my VIP 722 replaced with a new one, hard drive died on the old one.
I cannot get the dolby digital to work on this new dvr.
I have my dish hooked up via hdmi and an optical cable plugged into my Receiver.
With my old vip 722 it worked just fine this way.
on the new 722 my dolby digital indicator on my receiver just flashes and I either get no sound or static.
My receiver works fine with other optical sources, even plugged into the same input on my receiver.
I am pretty sure there are no other options on the 722 other then the line out/RF mode and chooses if i want pcm or dolby digital. I tried all of those settings to no avail. I tried other channels too, no go.
Is my 722 optical out defective, or did I miss some other setting??
