I have a older views at ultra and vs 9000 just wondering if they work now or do I need new ones

Welcome to Satelliteguys!
Most of the channels up there now that are in the clear have went to DVB-S2. So unless you just want to watch the channels on 97Wku(which is still DVBS), you will need a new receiver.

They don't "work" for free Dish Network and such, if that's what you are asking. They never will again.

They do work for the true FTA channels on 97w as KE4EST mentions above.
