Does HR20 recognize bad sectors on Ext HDD?

Just wondering, if you drive develops some errors, if the HR20 will detect bad sectors and not record over them?

Or should you attach the drive to a pc from time to time to delete the partition and then let the HR20 reformat?

Max what the SW can do is run fsck().
If you worried about bad sectors, connect the disk by long serial cable to PC and run a program MHDD.exe with remapping bad sectors.

Decided to do just that. It was empty, so I removed it from the HR20 and am scanning it now.
