Ok I bought a brand new computer last year for Christmas state of the art. So question I did not order a touch screen because I figured windows 8 wasn't going to be introduced until this year, I figured the price on them would come down on the screens which it has and they have got bigger and I figure by christmas this year they will be even bigger for your buck. Well any to my question do I need a different graphics card or anything or should the one I have work with a touch screen its input is the new weird kind so its not vga, it is dmi or something like that so should that work? I mean how do they know they are being touched thru the graphics card or what? I'm still not sure on this?

I purchased two all in one touch screen computers by HP for Christmas two years ago. One for my mom and one for my wife. Personally my wife Carol and I can't stand the darn things. I took Carols back to where I bought it. My mom loves hers because there is no box on the floor, but never uses the touch screen features. For me I can't stand finger prints on a big monitor, and don't event talk about opening the case for repair or upgrades. Microsoft can keep Windows 8 because I don't need the included software for a touch screen. Windows 8 maybe fine for a tablet, just not for a big screen home PC.
