It's the Chris Eccleston ones from around 5-6 years ago when they rebooted it and he played the doctor for a single year.
The show I watched last Friday was Doctor Who 2005 Season 1 Episode 7, with Chris Eccleston as the Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose.

I've watched all 10 series of Spooks. Watched the last 5 as they aired off the BBC with my VPN. It was one of my favorite series. I hated to see Robin Hood end also.
I have both series digitally archived, and all of the new Dr Who, too.
Normally, I never re-watch old series, but I did go back through Spooks a few years ago.
Ebru really is putting on some good (and recent) programming.
Offering an EPG really elevates it a level, too.
Nice counterpoint to all the retro programming I've been watching lately.
I have about 4TB of UK and Aussie shows archived now. I've met a few people around the world that now keep me up to date without using other means. Its nice to see some foreign english language shows accessible here
I've somehow never heard of the Spooks series, I will have to give it a try. I canceled my netflix a few years ago and have missed the last two seasons of Doctor Who, hopefully Ebru TV will show them.
Spooks was broadcast as MI-5 in the US for the first 4 seasons on A&E and they showed the entire 4th season in a single day before dropping it. It showed up a few more times on other nets like BBCA but never more than the first 4 series. I think PBS has finally showed it most if not all the way thru.
I know our statewide PBS OETA doesn't show it, but our 2nd PBS from Rogers State College KRSC is currently showing it on weekends along with Primeval and a few other UK shows.
For Netflix users I would suggest Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries from Australia. Netflix finally picked up the 1st season rights for the US. Nice 1920's period series like Sherlock Holmes.

They also have the Australian navy/adventure show "Sea Patrol" and the dinosaurs-coming-through-wormholes show "Primeval"
Sea Patrol is pretty good too. It was one of my favorites when it was originally airing. Kirsty Lee Allan makes it worth watching seasons 2,3 and 4

For some reason I´d rather watch british and aussie shows, than foreign language shows even if they´re english dubbed.

In Ebru's survey, I expressed my thoughts that subtitles are nicer than dubbing for foreign language shows and movies. Of course, it is just my personal opinion.
When I lived in Mexico, there seemed to be an overwhelming preference to go to a American movie that was subtitled in Spanish rather than one that was dubbed in Spanish.

Same here, I´d rather read english subtitles, and get a feeling of whatever they are talking in their original language, than watching dubbed shows, especially when out of sync,
In Mexico most of the people I know would rather watch anything in english with spanish subtitles, even if they´re not english proficient, and listen to the actors in their original voice.
I remember when I lived in Europe, I just couldn´t watch much american shows dubbed in French, sometimes wondering if the whole cast in Friends or NCIS, could really speak French, and in some cases their dubbed voices were so radically different to the actor´s real voice, that it was hilarious to watch and listen to them
I just remembered one of those funny cases, Murder she wrote in French, I have watched it on French Canadian TV and Jessica Fletcher´s french dubbed voice is very deep, very different to Angela Lansbury´s real voice.

Now that they're digital, I think they run 8 sub channels, each for a different language.
I used to record Japanese drama series (12 eps or so) with English subtitles.
I don't speak the language, but have studied it a little, along with their customs.
So long as the action and dialog are not too fast, subtitles are the way to go!
Not fond of dubbed shows, hardly ever.
Few times, I've run across a movie in English, which had been subtitled with Russian or Korean.
After a few minutes, I hardly noticed.
That's why I think Cubavision movies are worth a look.
American movies aired direct from DVD, but with Spanish subtitles turned on.
(or so I understand...can't see 30w from California. )
