Do I need to adjust my DW6000 for G10R?

I am thinking this is "working as designed" but thought I'd ask anyway...

I have my DirecWay 6000 dish mounted on a pole in the ground and aimed at G10R. There are no trees or any other obstructions blocking its view. The LNB is set to 10750 and the switch is 12700 (although I do not have a switch in place, it was necessary to set this for ProgFinder, MyTheatre and ProgDVB to work).

The transponders I get and their signal strength and quality:
TP1 11720 - V Signal: 30% Quality: 100%
TP5 11774 - V Signal: 21% Quality: 100%
TP5 11800 - V Signal: 27% Quality: 100%
TP6 11805 - H Signal: 43% Quality: 100%
TP8 11845 - H Signal: 13% Quality: 100%
TP17 12035 - V Signal: 13% Quality: 98%
TP19 12078 - V Signal: 15% Quality: 75%
TP21 12104 - V Signal: 37% Quality: 100%
TP21 12114 - V Signal: 25% Quality: 100%

I have gotten what I was after with this dish, TP1 (11720) and TP5 (11800) as they have "the channels". The width of the dish is 39 inches (99 cm) and height of 23 inches (59 cm). My latitude is 43.6N and longitude is 92.8W (flat and wide open).

Do I leave well enough alone, or do I try and squeeze that little better strength out of the dish by making it perfectly level and tweaking the alignment. My guess is this is the best I will get with this dish, since the quality is 100% and that's the deciding factor anyway.

The signal quality is the main thing but if you are too low on signal strength you will have problems with clouds, rain, etc.

I believe that Iceberg is from your neck of the woods and at one time I know he used a DirecPC dish with G10R. U might want to search to find out what his numbers were at the time. I believe they were a bit better. Personally, I have the same dish and I get in the 80's on signal strength with 50-80% quality (with the satworks, subtract about 10 ponts from ea. for the twinhan). Even with that I have had some issues with rainfade (when we have really bad storms in the area).

I would lock the elevation and just swing the dish side to side slowly (while watching the receiver's signal meter). Shouldnt take much to get the strength up a bit. You could also mark the current setting with a grease pencil (or a marker) so that you can get back to this point easily

I would leave it with what you have it adjusted to now. The signal strength is not an important factor. The reciever will automatically adjust the amplification of the incoming signal to bring the level to what it needs to get the data out of the signal (noise). This is done automatically by the gain control circuits in the tuner. I would wait and see what happens when you experiance some weather to see if you should peak it any further.
If you do try to peak it further you could try putting something infront of thre LNBF to attenuate the signal, and then peak again for maximum QUALITY. Of course, when done remove the item attenuating the signal in front of the LNBF. You will have to experiment with what works for you to attenuate the signal to what you need.

yeah I'm in Wilde's neck of the woods but I never heard of Rose Creek :)

I use to use a 39x23 dish for G3 (North Dakota hockey was there a couple years ago) and G10 would give me a little better than what you posted...dish is gone but on a comparable dish I get
