Just received the dm500-s box and when turned on the vert. hold is screwed up(screen rolls) not a TV issue (tried on 3 different tv's). I cant read on screen menu to see if theres an option for that. Has anyone had this prob. or know anything about it?

The manual shows the menus and ther keystrokes to get there but if you can't see them on screen, you'd really be guessing. If you want to try, here is the link to it:

I googled 'DM500 PAL to NTSC' and came up with some information that might help. The jist of it was to use 'Dreamup' to update the factory firmware with a null modem cable and the unit will come right to life.

Hey Thanks Ice and Shawn I got the prob fixed, you were right it was in PAL. Took forever to get the box config. with my router. As soon is i got linked i was able to use comp to change the settings. Again thanks for the help i really didnt want to go through the hassle of returning the box
