I'm a C/Ku virgin. In college, a buddy had a 10' dish and we used to surf the skys for unencrypted downlinks. Now, quite a while later in life, I really want to ditch COMCAST.
Can I go off-grid with a 30" dish and a receiver (town won't approve a 10' dish)? Is any signal (these days) readily viewable? If so, what channels are out there? HD?
Seems like I have so much to learn - can one of you suggest a place to start reading?
