I tried for the 4th time today to order Dish from Dshstore with the Satellite Guys rebate. I finally got a woman that knew about the deal. The problem is she nor her supervisor knew about the package I wanted. They kept saying that was an old offer, which it was not. They wanted $12.95 more per month than what Allsat wanted. That extra $75 would cover about a third of that over 18 months, plus I get a portable dvd player(after $25 shpg). I don't care about the free gift, and if the costs would have been even,I would have ordered from Dishstore to help out the forum.Dishstore did have some very friendly reps, and I did want to go with them.Well maybe next time!

Never heard of the satellite guys rebate. They don't control monthly prices, it's pretty much the same all around the country. PM'ing Claude would have been your best route.

I remember Claude saying that calls go to a call center after hours so rcdallas is correct get a hold of Cluade and you will get a straight answer.

Here is a link to the deal DISHSTORE.Net Better than Club Dish Promotion

I did call ,and get the Dishstore the last time I called. It was just they were not up on the program package I wanted! They did acknowledge the $75 rebate. The lady even call over her supervisor, and he said the deal I wanted ran out Aug 1st. It did not though. It is a package deal. They tried to run it a la carte, but it was $12.95/month higher. Like I said, they were very nice people, but I could not get the price I could with the other place.I spent several hours on the phone over a 3 day period, with them. I even told them the web address, and offered to email a copy of the printout of the deal. The supervisor just kept on saying ,it's an old deal to the lady.He would not be swayed! I know they do not control prices, and thus they should be able to sell the SAME package, for the SAME price as the other guys, right?

Again, just ask for Claude.

He shouldn't have to call during certain hours and speak to Claude directly.... That page above says "Call one of out sales advisors at 1-800-807-0837 ... tell the sales advisor you are calling from Satelliteguys". In the FAQ section, it says:

"Q: Can I sign up on your website?

A: You can by clicking HERE, however we prefer for you to order over the phone with one of our sales advisors at 1-800-807-0837"

Does that info need corrected ?

Again, just ask for Claude.

I have to wonder why Claude continues to pay those folks, if they don't understand the programs he is trying to promote within Satelliteguys. It seems really strange to me that a company wouldn't have their whole sales staff trained to effectively take care of their customers.

Dude, call Claude after 10:00 Est time M-F, he will take care of ya. Trust me I did and even got my rebate within 2 weeks.
I was really pleased and will use him from now on.

Claude is great.
I sent my rebate form in on monday, and got my rebate check today. He's not messing around

That's good to know. I keep seeing those thread comments that folks are having problems with their phone contacts at Dishstore, and it makes me apprehensive.

I'm considering a switchover from TWC cable to either Dish or Direct, so this is important for me. Their web site also has some problems with broken links, and a few minor inconsistencies that don't help build confidence either.

After hours the phone is answered by an answering service. They dont unfortunately know about all the DishStore deals.

Call Claude durring business hours, tell him your a SatelliteGuys member and he will take good care f you.

No lie, its the best deal ANYWHERE on Dish Network. :)

Everytime I called was during normal hours.Twice I was forwarded to an outsource answering center.First time I talked to Dishstore I told the lady I wanted the Satellite Guys deal. The lady says "let me see if anyone knows about it". She puts me on hold and that's where I stayed for about 10 minutes, then I hung up. Their website needs to be updated,as they do not have all the package deals listed. That is why I had to call to try to order. I finally just gave up and went with Allsat, and got the package Dishstore said didn't exist.
My real gripe is the four days trying to get the deal through Dishstore cost me almost 2 weeks on my install. My install date went from Oct 19th to the 31st as the earliest install date. If I would have gone with the local Radio Shack,I could have had it installed next week. Our local cable company just went digital, and no HD available for another 6 months. They still have a lot of bugs,so people are dropping them fast and going satellite.

In dealing with Dishstore, AllSat, Radio Shack, or Dish direct, the install dates would have remained the same (unless you live in Dishstore (metro Detroit) or AllSat's (??) actual areas). All of them use Dish's own employees or contracted companies for install and service. I'm pretty sure Radio Shack also just hands the order off to Dish after they "take" the order.

Im sorry to hear your having issues with my sales reps. My reps should know everything there is to know about all the current promotions, if they don't then ask to speak to me directly.

The promotions we run here at the DISHSTORE are the exact same promotions that DISH Network is running except that we waive the initial activation fee and give you up to a $75 cash back rebate.

I don't mess with the cheesy gifts that send you a "Certificate" which you have to send back to a fulfillment company to and pay for shipping and handeling. Its $75 cash, and you can buy whatever you want with it.

As far as the gentleman who called yesterday about the $12.95 price difference....

I remember speaking to my sales person about it, and if my memory serves me correctly you wanted Starz or showtime FREE for 3 months and we where only offering HBO/CINEMAX.

THERE IS NO PROMOTION THAT GIVES YOU STARZ OR SHOWTIME FREE FOR 3 MONTHS BEING OFFERED BY DISH NETWORK

Since ALLSAT is a Sales partner just like Dishstore, I would highly suggest you call 800-333-DISH and have them pull up your account and verify exactly what your getting and what your paying.

My reps work very hard to make a sale, but they will not lie to you or give you false information because it just comes back and causes a problem later. There is absolutly no reason why allsat should be cheaper than Dishstore on a monthly basis. With all that said, I loose more business by other companies giving customers mis-information and customers thinking we are not offering as good as a deal than I do anything else.

But just for the record, what exactly is this deal that allsat offered you that Dishstore could not match? Lets post it here so we can review it to make sure your really getting what they promised you.

But the man is WRONG! I did not want Starz free for 3 months, along with HBO/Cinemax. The deal I wanted was HBO/Cinemax free for 3 months, but Starz was to be the FULL 18 months. I told the lady that,at least 3 times! Starz is not a 3 month trial!

This is the exact package ai ordered.
