Is this even possible? I can stick in my dishnetwork card, and pick the channels i've subscribed to... through this new twinhan device? and use it as a fta card, and my dishnet work box? If this is so... I will be a very happy man!
and in the PVR function, and what else could a man want?
No, in North America, none of the major pay satellite systems will work with that device.
All of the companies insist you use their receivers, and they won't authorize use of their security card in anything else.
And whatever argument ya might make, the answer is still "no".
That includes: DishNetwork, DirecTV, Globecast, StarChoice, and Bell Express Vu.
- new DishNetwork receivers (last several years) have internal "cards"
- Globecast isn't a "major" NA satellite provider (with hundreds of channels)
There are other minor providers, and it would be amusing to make a list.
I know of Bob Jones University, a home schooling system.
Some Irdeto stuff has been removed from service . . . but I'm at a loss beyond that point.
Some of those minor pay services which will work with the cardslot in some NA FTA receivers, should work with a PCI card.
