I read about this item & seems to me that I can get any 3(4) sat in a row & supply the signat to 3(4) stbs.
Any opinion or exposure to this product?
Thx in advance.

Dish 1000.2 can only get circular signals. There are a handful of Dish channels that are in the clear
NASA, Angel One, Ion and some barker channels

not really worth it IMO. A 30" dish and a dual LNB will allow you to run 2 or more receivers

I think the dish would be of some small value to someone wanting to subscribe to Dish Network, and get their HD on 129°.
(as well as main programming on 110/119)

If I got one for free, I'd probably hold onto it and find a friend to give it to.
But I wouldn't pay any money to get one.

Here's bit of info on it from one of our Gold Sponsors, DishStore
edit: found dish size on Sadoun's site:
19"h x 24"w dish face
So, not too interesting to try to convert to FTA use.

I have a number of Superdishes in my array, a little bigger than the 1000. They work OK for stronger TP's if you replace the stock setup with generic linear lnb's. Not the best for those weaker signals.

Thanks. Can you get 101, 97, 103?

You'll be better off with a bigger dish than the 1000.2, DN and Directv can use smaller dishes because circular Ku it's stronger than lineal Ku.

Maybe you'll be able to pull the stonger transponders but don't expect a lot.

It all depends where are you located but my advice would be to get a dish at least a meter in diameter.

Cheers

Mike
