I have a Dish/Windstream bundle in Western New York. A postcard came in the mail from Windstream offering phone, internet and a free Roku player in a $41.99/mo package for one year. I already have phone and internet with Windstream "For Life" for $54/mo and asked a CSR about the package. If I opted for the package I would get this price for a year, but the "For Life" price would not be guaranteed. Without any prodding, the CSR offered me the $13 discount on phone/internet, minus the Roku (I already have one, but didn't mention it). for a year, with my "For Life" price restored once the term is up.
