This unit has only one HDMI 'slot' and I will be looking to upgrade my DVDR to HD when they become available. The one slot already is used to go to the back of my Panny.

What is the simple solution here, Satellite Guys??

Be happy the ONE HMDI you have works! It may or may not last. :D

I would also think your HD DVD burner would have component inputs as well.

Even if Blu-Ray recorders have an HDMI input on them, that doesn't mean that every HD program will be allowed to be burned to a Blu-Ray disk. From what I understand a broadcast flag could prevent this on certain programs, correct? And if the broadcast flag is used connecting a Blu-Ray recorder via component cables that would mean that some programs, movies or PPV events could be also blocked from being recorded. There might be an advantage to hooking up your Blu-Ray recorder up via HDMI, but maybe not. If you do want to hook up via HDMI, I think there are HDMI switches or splitters that can be used.

I don't think you'll find a DVDR with an HDMI in.
I've got a top end panny - hdmi out ONLY
(no component in either)
