I've been looking all over for this info and can't seem to find what I need to know.

I have the ViP222k receiver, tv1 goes to the living room and tv2 goes into another room.
1. Can I split the coaxial cable that comes from the dish and hook it right to the PC or
2. do I have to split one of the lines from tv1 or tv2 and run that to the computer and if so will I be watching the same thing as that tv# ?

Don't split the input lines to the DVR that come from the dish. It's ok to split the coax line out from the modulator output. You can then tune to either channel that you've modulated TV1 or TV2 on. But you will need a normal NTSC tuner/capture card in your PC.

So... my only option would be getting another receiver from them and then running that to my tuner card by either the coax cable or the RCA cables since my tuner card has both.

Thank you for the help guys.
