Dish Tailgater in Canada

Does anyone know if the Tailgater will work with the 211k while traveling within 40 miles of the border...mostly around Vancouver, BC? Could I pick up Seattle locals? I had read a post that says this device will not work in Canada, but I know other dish and receiver combo's work.

It is not designed to work with Bell Vu, the sat service in Canada. Dish is not sold in Canada, but that does not mean the signal cannot be obtained or used there.

Thanks for the reply. It would be on a current Dish subscription, not Shaw, Bell or other Canadian service and will be used during summer months while on the road. The Tailgater is powered by the receiver as it auto locates satellites, so I was concerned it may be different than other dish combos that I know will work north of the border. I could always use a regular dish, but the Tailgater looks to be a quick set-up for those of us who change locations frequently. Also, could someone point me to a website that will show if I can get Seattle local channels in Vancouver, BC?
