Dish screw Up with my receiver,now free programming

I canceled Dishtv for a few days from NYC
I put 1 of the 3 canceled receivers with my L.A. address just for the Locals ONLY...
To my surpised Dishtv gave me the Atlanta locals with the americas 120 for free.
Well after 2 days I didnot like Cable so I called dishtv up and told them to turn my 3 receivers back on with my NYC locals...Even the free atlanta Locals back to my NYC address...
Make a long story short
They turned my 3 receivers on as they told me that they did.2 of my receivers are getting NyC locals and NYC sports but the receiver where I used to pickup the NYC stations and canceled and got the Atlanta instead was still broadcasting the atlanta station stillllll...
I asked the guy about that receiver and wanted the NYC stations but they said that the receiver was owned by someone in Atlanta somewhere.
And the 3rd receiver that they turned on for me is not my receiver and I was telling Dish and his supervisor....
They did not want to turn my 3rd receiver off since I am getting the atlanta stations with the other receiver.And told me to return it to radio shack...Then they will shut off my 3rd UNKNOWN receiver..I told them I wanted it done now because I don't want to pay $5 for a UnKNOWN receiver that I don't have...
They did not want to shut the Known receiver off and their supervisor did not want to shut it off also.I told them its iligal to charge me for a receiver that I don't have,,,after 30 plus mins they took the Extra 3rd receiver off...So as of now DishTV thinks I only have 2 receiver when really I have a 3rd where somebody in Atlanta is paying.....
I tried to tell them about the Mistake on their part,,,but how would I get a Unit ID # from Dish saying that I have another unit that I don't of ever had....
Funny I have had this receiver for almost a month BRAND new from radioshack.
And I have been getting the NYX stations all along,but just by canceling for a few days,someone screwed up....JT

I'm tired after reading this. I read it 3 times and all I can gather is you live in LA, getting atlanta and top120, but also NYC locals and are paying for a receiver that is not on your account (in ATL somewhere).
Heck, I am not sure what is going on. I just lost myself.

Chances are that Dish audit team will catch this. If the receiver serial number is listed for you but still showing a different owner, they will eventually catch it and most likely will compensate for the error/oversight.

Well it was the wine and I just ramble at night lol...
I will make it simple on myself lol..
I canceled 3 receivers for a few days from NYC and they shut off 2 of the 3 receivers and 1 was left on,instead on the NYC stations it was the Atlanta stations I was getting,Was not sure If I was getting it for free or not at the time..
So I felt for a few days I had enough of cable and switched back to Dishtv..
Ok Dishtv was nice and turned on my 3 receivers that they already had on my account that when they canceled them.
Anyway I checked all 3 receivers and 2 receivers I was getting back my old NYC stations and the 3rd I was still getting the atlanta Stations,I told the Dishtv rep on the phone that 2 of the 3 are working right...
I gave him the # of the receiver that I was pickingup the Atlanta stations from..
Dishtv told me that someone else in Atlanta was useing this receiver even though I was useing this receiver for a Month with my NYC Locals.{they gave me the guys name}
Anyway Dishtv had me for a 3rd receiver and the # of the receiver does not match any receiver that I have so I told them to take it off of my account so i can save $5 a month....
Funny theres a guy in atlanta paying a Extra $5 a month for my services and Dishtv has no clue even though I was telling the supervisor that there is a mistake...
I think I can live with the $60 savings a year and start watching and learning about whats happening in atlanta...

Yea, we got it!

You live in Atlanta and went to the local Atlanta Radio Shack and bought a 3rd receiver, that apparently someone had previously purchased, activated, and then returned to Radio Shack without having it removed from their account.

You had Dish activate your 3 receivers using your NYC address. But they ended up just turning on/activating 2, since the 3rd one was still activated, even though it had the wrong locals (or maybe 2 locals).

Then you had an urge for some cable, had Dish turn them off, but they only deactivated the 2 on your account that receives NYC locals & sports.

Then you had enough cable, and asked Dish to reactivate 3 receivers using your L.A. address, but in reality they only reactivated 2, since the 3rd has been playing all along with Atlanta locals. So now you are living in GA, watching L.A. locals on 2 receivers, and watching Atlanta locals on the other while someone is paying the $5 extra receiver fee.

Here's how to get the mistaken owner to call Dish and have it removed from his account.
Using that Atlanta receiver, order plenty Adult programming as well as, Pay Per Views.
The only problem is when he complains and then they figure out its you, they'll expect you to pay.

Well with the 3rd receiver I had NYC stations for almost a month untill I Canceled it and I was being charged $5 for the service...
Now I am picking up the atlanta stations for no reason at all.And as Dishtv says the receiver has been connected to the guy thats paying for the service that lives in Atlanta.
Wellll Good for him and I have to thank him for my service,Funny thing Dish had me for a 3rd receiver with a unknown receiver #,and I had a problem with them taking it off of my account.They didnot want to until I returned the receiver that got the Atlanta Stations back to RadioShack.And get a New receiver....
After 30-40 mins of complaining they took the Unknown receiver off of my account and I am sure they shut somebody off lol...
Yea I know I can watch Pay per views and porno but as yea say it might come back at me after they do a very hard investigation.JT
