Dish receivers suck

I've been with dish for a year now. I have 722 and a 211. the 211 never has worked right always checking for signal, long delay between channels, etc. had repair several times finally told thats the way it is.
722, I have lip sync problems since day one, and I've tried all the suggestions on this board, now seems that the lip sync problem is not as bad, but now I have sound cutting out. watching Olympics and sound cuts in and out and happens on several channels.
No online programming
CS sucks
and my package $$ went up 4 months after I signed up. America Everything package with HD and sports package= $130/month.

Thats the price everyone else pays for Everything pack, HD platinum,and Muiltisports pack. Guess you should have read the fine print before you promotion ran out. Switch to D* then and Pay $136 for the same service then. BYE BYE!

yeah and don't expect D receivers to be any better. you already have what's best at the moment in equipment.

My 722 and 622 are rock solid. I have 4 spread out on two different accounts: one for me and one for my parents. THe directv dvrs suck the big one in comparison to DISH's. I perfer them to even the Tivo stand alone dvr I had back in the day. I don't know why you are having lip sych issues . I have my 722 run to a sony a/v receiver in my living room and the second one to my rca a/v receiver and I can even adjust the lip sync to match what I want on the video. I don't have my tv speakers turned on for my tv either. That may make a difference. It sounds like something in your setup that isn't run right. Maybe you could tell us exactly how you have them setup.

I run my 722 through my Bose 321 system via optical cable (with no sync ability) and HDMI to the TV. my 211 through a sony A/V receiver but I have no sync problems with the 211.

I have the 722 for about 1 year on a lease. I have the DVR Advantage pkg. with top 250 chs., HBO, Max., & HD Essentials. My bill runs around $90/mo. every month. When I signed up on an 18 mo. lease Dish said NO price increase until 1/09.

My 722 has been flawless except for the last software upgrade & the current 1080P24 problem ordering the VOD movie. Perhaps you should look into what I have to save $$. As to the 722, if it's giving trouble have them replace it if you don't own it. I have to be honest & tell you the 722 is the best DVR I've ever had and I am picky. Good luck.
