Dish receivers not compatible with OTA station - how to resolve? (WHUT-DT Wash DC)

Does hitting the rec button on your remote work? I assume your problem recording is with the timer function. If so, that points directly to the PSIP of the station. Either it is not current.. time and or date wrong in it.. or it is not there at all. Does it show in the guide correctly? I have found simply rebooting the PSIP computer at the tv station would fix this for our dish viewiers (me included). Now, I am not located in this area of the problem, but the PSIP rules are specific and will screw this up for dish if not correct. Being retired now, when and if I see the problem locally, I know who to call and tell them what to do to fix it and it is fixed withing minutes.
