Dish Receiver Works With Star Choice??

I am all set up with Star Choice, But I need to get a Receiver. I have a VIP 622 HD DVR receiver from Dish Network. It would be cheaper to pay dish for it and use it rather than pay Star Choice $600 for a HD DVR. Will it work ?????? If not, any suggestions????? Thanks so much for your help!!

nope. Starchoice box needed for Starchoice subscription

correct. Star Choice being a subscription provider you need to use their box that is made by Motorola
