Dish Pause for 211K w/EHD?

Title pretty much sums it up. we're reevaluating our entertainment expenses (wife retiring soon) and remembered the possibility of the dish pause. We have a small EHD attached and recall you still had access to that while on pause. Did any programming come through also? I think I remember locals and preview coming through even while on pause.

Any experience you have and are willing to share gratefully accepted.

Dish Pause is a way of keeping your account current while not technically having/paying for a programming package. I think. I'm trying to recall what, if any, programming slips through while you're in Dish Pause. Sorry for the confusion. (We can pause live TV since we installed the EHD.)
