DISH NETWORK™ INTRODUCES MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE

New customers can try DISH Network risk-free for 30 days

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – April 12, 2006 – EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) and its DISH Network™ satellite TV service today launched a money-back guarantee that allows new customers to experience the benefits of DISH Network risk-free for 30 days. The offer is the only one of its kind from a satellite TV provider.

Under the new promotion, customers who sign up for any of the qualifying package options can try DISH Network risk-free for the first 30 days; if they’re not completely satisfied with their service, they can cancel their subscription and receive a refund. The offer is available to new customers who sign up for the Digital Home Advantage 18-month agreement, and if they decide to cancel during the first 30 days, they will be refunded the activation fee, monthly programming fees, monthly DVR fees, and any equipment lease fees. Customers will not receive refunds for equipment upgrade fees, special installation fees, Pay-Per-View or DISH On Demand purchases.

Scott it is very interesting that Directv had already notified it's dealers that on April 26th they were starting a 30 day money back promotion. Here it is April 12th and DISH is starting a similar promotion but they aren't notifying their dealers until after they started advertising the promotion. Our Charlie Chat I believe is scheduled for noon eastern time today.
