Just got this in...

Dish VOD will be unavailable until further notice on the Dish 522 and 625 do to an issue which engineering is working on.

They will be simulcasting the big 4 networks (ABC,FOX,CBS and NBC) on channels 241 - 248. In addition these channels can and will continue to be found in the 5700 channel range. The channels will be broadcast from the 119 satellite on transponder 19 (full conus)

These channels will be visible in the guide and in red for those customers who do not subscribe to them. Customer who can legally subscribe to these channels can call All American Direct (or visit http://www.mydistantnetworks.com) for more info.

RFD-TV is MOVING from 119 to 110 and will be available on channels 9839 and 9409.

That is all for now.

Thanks for being a SatelliteGuy. :)

:)

Sure they do this AFTER I delete all my old timers and make new ones in the 5700 range.

Distants are on Transponder 15 at 119 at the moment, does this mean they are moving to transponder 19?

So- I'd love to know if ANYBODY complains about losing their VOD! :haha

I can tell you I won't because all I ever get are 4 movies

I've checked a couple of time in the past(as recently as yesterday as a matter of fact) and only have one movie that is actually available. The other 3 listed show as being unavailable with a warning blurb to keep my reciever turned off so they can download them. Yeah the VOD must be a real money maker for them. Ha. ha.

The VOD seems to cause more problems than it is worth. I mean taking up my Hard Drive space AND you have to pay an extra $1 for them over the regular on Demand. Who would pay extra when you can just wait for it to be on channels 500 to 530?

I would rather Dish skip working on the problem and focus on IP Video on demand for the VIP models, after they get that going they could come back to the old VOD.

Are you just looking at the first page? If you ask for "View All" the list will be longer. Not that any of them interest me, but there are 5 movies on my list at the moment.

I had four movies and I highlighted them and got for three out of the four that they were not available and to make sure I turn off the receiver so that they would download. I turn the receiver off every night so that's not an issue. Anyways it's a moot point as I would never order a VOD movie anyways. Just pointing out the futility of it all.

Can you 'replace' the DVR625 with VIP622
